I made this little fireplace for myself. Our living room is tiny and I've never had a place to hang our stockings other than on doorknobs, so this year I decided I wanted something a little more official. This was the only bare wall I could put something! The cheesy fake brick is temporary until I can come up with something else...I just happened to have this brick cardboard stuff laying around. I was feeling so proud of my little fireplace until we went to a friend's home where they have a big beautiful gas fireplace...I came home a little deflated!
