Furniture
I have yet to get to the market with my crafts this year. Instead, I've been tackling some personal projects around the house that I've wanted to do for a while.
About a year and a half ago I discovered Ana White and have been wanting to build her farmhouse bed ever since (among many other things). My husband was dragging his feet. He is a man. He hates change. And he didn't want to get rid of the headboard he's had forever.
To make a long story short, I eventually won and got to work on our new bed.
It's a fairly basic design using just construction grade lumber. It's actually quite pretty unpainted...but oh well.
Painted, sanded and stained.
We ditched our mattress and box spring for a new memory foam mattress, so I built this bed as a platform bed.
Naturally, the bed project turned into a nightstand project which turned into a dresser project.
I had to make my husband's nightstand really small because his side of the bed also has to accommodate our dresser.
My nightstand
The hubbies nightstand finished. (I didn't build the dresser...that's just a repaint job).
My nightstand finished...
And put it all together...

Spring Flowers
Recently, I was in charge of a church dinner and needed to come up with some center pieces for the tables. I decided with the amount of wood I have out in my garage I could kill two birds with one stone...make some center pieces for the dinner, and have something to sell when it's done. So now the dinner is over with and I have these chunky, colorful flowers just waiting for homes!
The shortest flowers (including the pots) are about 16 1/2" tall and the tallest are just under two feet! They are BiG and FuN! Also, I can always custom make others to suit your own color preferences.
(I will post prices shortly)

Holiday Season 2010
A few of the items I made this holiday season...
The countdown blocks were a huge hit this year! I had a hard time keeping them stocked!
Mini Stackers
Signs
(Horrible picture)
I was pretty busy this year with custom orders for Christmas. I loved it!
Here are a few... Custom name board for little girl's room Custom candle holders And lots of custom blocks I made this little fireplace for myself. Our living room is tiny and I've never had a place to hang our stockings other than on doorknobs, so this year I decided I wanted something a little more official. This was the only bare wall I could put something! The cheesy fake brick is temporary until I can come up with something else...I just happened to have this brick cardboard stuff laying around. I was feeling so proud of my little fireplace until we went to a friend's home where they have a big beautiful gas fireplace...I came home a little deflated!
